About SYNK

We are dedicated to creating a generation of empowered young leaders who drive positive change in their communities through sustainable development initiatives.

Who We Are

Sustainable Youth Network-Kenya (SYNK) is a national, youth-led NGO dedicated to empowering young people across Kenya to drive sustainable development. With a strong presence in Busia, Kakamega, Bungoma, Trans Nzoia, and Uasin Gishu counties, we are committed to creating lasting change.

Through our comprehensive programs, we engage young people as active agents of transformation, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to build a better future for themselves and their communities.

Youth Empowerment Sustainability Integrity Collaboration Innovation

Our Vision

To be the leading youth-driven movement championing sustainable development and social empowerment.

Our Mission

To empower young people through advocacy, capacity building, and innovative initiatives that promote sustainable livelihoods and active civic engagement.

Our Thematic Areas

SYNK works across five key thematic areas to create holistic and sustainable impact in the communities we serve.

Health

We prioritize youth health through comprehensive programs addressing mental health awareness, sexual and reproductive health education, nutrition, and disease prevention. Our peer counseling and support groups help tackle drug and substance abuse, ensuring young people lead healthier lives.

Peace & Security

Empowering youth as peacebuilders through training in conflict resolution, peace education, and mediation skills. Our community dialogues foster social cohesion, prevent radicalization, and promote positive youth engagement in building peaceful communities.

Climate Change

As champions of environmental sustainability, we engage youth in climate action through tree planting, clean-up drives, climate education, and sustainable agriculture. We foster climate resilience and support green entrepreneurship.

Regional Integration

Promoting regional unity by connecting young people across Western Kenya and beyond. Our youth exchange programs, leadership development, and cultural exhibitions strengthen cross-border collaboration and understanding.

Affordable Energy

Advocating for access to clean, affordable energy through renewable solutions such as solar, biogas, and energy-efficient technologies. We provide energy literacy and support youth-led green businesses.
